Introduction to Watercolor Painting (Grades 3-5)
Deborah's introductory watercolor class provides students with a basic understanding of the skills and ideas of watercolor painting and helps them to develop a love for the creative process in general and painting in particular. The particular skills and ideas focused on in this class include:
  • basic color theory
  • brush technique
  • perspective
  • preliminary sketching
  • composition

The class, which consists of ten weekly lessons, each one-and-a-half hours in length plus a student art show at the end of the semester, is offered during each Fall and Spring academic term.

The Fall, 2006 class runs from October 3 through December 5, Tuesdays from 3:00-4:30 PM, with the student art show from 5-6 PM on Tuesday December 5. Enrollment in the Fall, 2006 semester closes on September 22 and space is limited to a class size of eight students to assure individual attention for each student. Availability for fall classes is extremely limited. To sign your child up for a class or to inquire regarding availbility, plese email Deborah. Each class will be offered again in the Spring.
